About

In the depth of COVID 19 Lockdown, fellow Illustrator/ Animator Isobel Knowels reached out to me to commission a special gift for her friend Sera’s upcoming 40th Birthday. Separated by restrictions, with no end in site we worked virtually together. To bring Sera’s childhood dream of operating a local “Dairy” in New Zealand. Better known as a Milk Bar in Australia. Bodega in NYC. Or more generally, a corner store.

Over a series of weeks Isobel and I sent roughs back and forth. I concentrated on the Character illustration and the shop.

While Isobel created items to stock based off some of Sera’s favourite things.
