City Of Play

Illustrated Public Hoarding | Expression Of Interest

About

Created in response to a City Of Melbourne EOI for their Creative Hoardings program. Transforming the facades of construction sites into vibrant creative spaces throughout the CBD. The brief “City Of Play” requested iconic “Melbourne” imagery that didn’t feel too cliched. Calling for a busy aesthetic that wouldn’t be ruined by potential graffiti and panels that would work beside each other regardless of order.

My panels embraced we’ll known public art & activities throughout Melbourne without it being too on the nose. With a Memphis Milano design aesthetic informing the overall playful style. Each panel became about different parts of city life.
