About

This work was originally planed as a piece of live theatre involving multilingual performance combining theatre, poetry, song and Oromo dance. However due to the pandemic became an online video piece. With only a fortnight to complete it My role was to animate four Oromo women discussing the recent passing of an important cultural leader. The conversation took place over ZOOM but Soretti wanted to present it in a more poetic way. Asking instead to placing them together on a spiritual plane the the promotional image featured in the the centre here.
